The new Edmonton Remand Centre is the largest correctional facility in Canada. Masonry was used extensively on this project, including concrete block, steel block and brick. This photo was taken in October 2011, prior to the project completion, which was scheduled for 2012.
At the 2013 PMINAC Conference (Project Management Institute Northern Alberta Chapter) the New Edmonton Remand Centre was the winner of the Project of the Year for 2013. A big congratulations to Alberta Infrastructure, ONPA Architects, Stuart Olson Dominion Construction, and of course, all of our employees who contributed to the successful completion of this project!
