The masonry scope on Nait CAT involved the supply and install of approximately 14,500 pieces of 90mm thick x 390mm high Shouldice stone units. These were incorporated into pilasters located on all exterior elevations of the building, at the main floor level to the North, East and South Elevations, and to 8 columns built to support 2 pedway crossings. Some of the corner Shouldice stone units weighed in at approximately 165 lbs. Precast sill and lintels built into the main floor cladding and caps to the pilasters and pedway columns were formed and poured by Scorpio Masonry. To the interior of the building, Scorpio installed the precast treads to the main feature stairs.
